Reliable mobile data is the useful first step because it works while everything else is still temporary. It gives you maps, messages, translation, transport and a backup connection while you decide what your home actually needs.
Before choosing a long plan
- Check signal inside your actual unit, not only in the lobby.
- Ask whether your phone supports a local physical SIM, eSIM or both.
- Choose enough hotspot allowance if you will work before home internet is ready.
- Keep the registered phone number available because local services may use it for account messages.
Ask the building before booking installation
Some buildings already have preferred providers, existing lines or rules about installer access. Ask your host or juristic office what is available in the unit, who owns the current account, and what must happen when you leave. That conversation can save a missed appointment and an unnecessary contract.
Keep the account details with the stay
