Your stay and home
Setting up electricity, water and internet for a Thailand home.
Before paying a bill, learn who holds the account, who reads the meter, how the amount reaches you and what changes when you move out.

Utilities can be managed by the provider, building office, host or a mixture of all three. There is no useful universal assumption. The best first step is a simple map of who handles each service for your specific home.
Ask four questions for every service
- Whose name is on the account?
- Where does the amount come from and can you see the original bill or meter reading?
- Who pays the provider and how do you reimburse them?
- What must be cancelled, transferred or settled when the stay ends?
Record the starting point
Photograph accessible meter readings at move-in and keep the first bill you receive. If the home has existing internet equipment, record what belongs to the unit and what must be returned. Small details are much easier to settle when both sides captured the beginning.
Keep each bill beside the stay
Paydeck treats utilities as part of the home rather than unrelated payments. A host can request a named bill, you can approve the amount, and the shared record stays with the property and month it covered.
